Me 163 kits and accessories

This page shows an extensive list of plastic and resin Me 163 kits and accessories, with 172 entries so far, containing more than 50 unique Komet models! Some list entries have their own page showing box art or model pictures, or additional information. If you have photographs or experiences to share of whatever Komet model you have built, please contact me. I want to show as many finished Komet models as possible. Desk models and card models are also listed.

The list was started by the extensive list provided by Andres Valdre from Estonia. He has an extensive database on German aircraft kits. The list was then further extended with information from Ruediger Landmann, Marvin Howell and Paul Gold.

If you want some advice on which Me 163B model to buy, the situation is rather simple. In 1/72, no model can beat the Academy model. In 1/48 scale, buy the Trimaster/Dragon/Revell of Germany model, again by far the best in this scale. In 1/32 scale only the Hasegawa model is available, and this is a pretty good model.

Three prepainted versions: in splinter camo overall (#10), splinter camo wings with mottled fuselage (#11, 'JG400'), and splinter overall with orange (?) RVD-band ('JG11 Anton Hackl'). Also includes decals for German and Russian aircraft. It is unclear to me why a resin upper fuselage is supplied, since you can buy the Trimaster/Dragon Me 163S as a basis.
