Navy DC-130A walkaround

David Aungst kindly supplied an extensive photo report of DC-130A BuNo 570497, as seen at the Andrews AFB air show in May of 1992. Some of the photos were made by David's friends, but after over 30 years, David doesn't remember who took which pictures. Therefore they are all credited as David Aungst / Jeff Harrison / David Vanderhoof.

The DC-130 was on display with a full load of four target RPVs: two supersonic BQM-34F Firebee IIs, one subsonic BQM-34A Firebee and one subsonic BQM-74C Chukar. Shown on dollies were a supersonic white AQM-37 Jayhawk and a TDU-34 aerial tow target.

Here's a mini walkaround of the BQM-34S, with serial number BQ-24253. The 'last two' are repeated on the fuselage in a larger stencil. Interestingly, this Firebee is fitted with tailplane endplates.

Here's a mini walkaround of the BQM-34F under the right wing, with serial number BQ-18637. The 'last five' are repeated at various positions on the fuselage. The supersonic Firebee is fitted with the belly droptank.

Here's a mini walkaround of the BQM-34F under the left wing, with serial number BQ-18641. This Firebee is also fitted with the belly droptank.

Last is a set of three photos of the BQM-74C with serial numer BQ-37046.
