AQM-34H ground launch

Lou Amadio, DC-130 pilot with 6514th Test Squadron from 1975 to 1980, kindly provided the photo below, a color version of the photo shown on page 102 of 'Fireflies and other UAVs'. According to the caption, the tests were performed at Dugway Proving Grounds. The test vehicle is black overall (as all AQM-34H's were), with white stripes painted over part of the rear fuselage. The extended wing tips are white or light gray; the tip is painted red. The aft parachute fairing appears to have a reddish heat protection applied to it. One of the ALE-2 chaff dispenser pods is light gray.
