| One of the variations of the JG400 Geschwader-badge, depicting the Baron von Munchhausen riding a cannon ball. It was designed by Hans Liska. No photos of Komets with this badge are known.

| The 'Schwarze 13' badge is a rather mysterious one, seen on a wrecked Komet at Brandis (close up). There's a small chance it could be the badge of the 13. Staffel, since it is unclear whether the badge seen on various training aircraft belongs to 13. or 14. Staffel. An alternative explanation is that the badge refers to the aircraft's code number 13 in black, but this is very much unconfirmed.
