Me 163B 191914 of the National Aviation Museum, Canada

Great view of the right side of the fuselage. Near the canopy is the Sauerstoff (oxygen) stencil. For a long time I did not know why it was there. Vincent Kermorgant cleared it up: it indicates the oxygen refill point inside the cockpit! In this cockpit photograph it is visible on the cockpit side wall, close to the rear cockpit bulkhead, with a white stencil above it. On other Komets, the stencil is placed on the hatch just above the T-Stoff stencil. A blue oxygen bottle can be seen just below the hatch, visible through the lightening hole. Also of interest is the walkway demarcation.
