The East Fortune Komet in 1990. It is interesting to compare with the 1997 photographs; here it still has a largely matt paint (gloss in 1997) and it has large mottles on the vertical tail. Note also the soft edge between the camouflage colours on the nose; in 1997 this has become a hard-edged demarcation. Some panels are missing, such as the one between the towing connection and the forward end of the skid, one of the panels of the landing skid fairing, and the one covering the rudder actuation pushrod. The pitot tube on the left wing is missing.
