It appears that just a few Komets were fitted with a gun camera. The type used was the BSK 16, as confirmed by an installation drawing (8-163.809-01 'BSK 16 Einbau') listed on the Drawings page.
Komets with the BSK 16 are easily identified by small reinforcing plate with a oval-shaped opening, fitted on the front of the canopy as seen on White 05. However, there are hardly any photos showing the camera clearly. The best found so far are these specific photos of White 14 and White 05.
Some information on the BSK 16 gun camera was found on Die Geschichte der FW 190. Note that part of the information is FW 190 specific. A translation of the text was added:
Ballistische Schussmess Kamera. Die 'Ballistische Schussmess Kamera' BSK 16 war eine Kinokamera für 16 mm Schmalfilm. Sie war in der Nase des linken Flügels zwischen den Rippen 3b und 4 befestigt. Die Öffnung für das Objektiv war durch eine Klarglasscheibe abgedeckt, welche bei bedarf durch einen farbigen Lichtfilter ausgetauscht werden konnte. Die maximale Filmlänge betrug 15 m. Die Fortbewegung des Films geschah durch einen Elektromotor. Die einzelnen Aufnahmen wurden durch eine Schaltscheibe auf 3,75m Filmlänge begrenzt. Somit waren während eines Fluges vier Aufnahmen von 43-57 Sekunden Dauer möglich. Die Auslösung der Aufnahme erfolgte automatisch durch das Betätigen des Feuerknopfes. Eine zweite Möglichkeit eine Aufnahme auszulösen ohne zu schießen bestand durch einen Schaltknopf am Gashebel.
Ballistic Shot Measurement Camera. The 'Ballistic Shot Measurement Camera' BSK 16 was a movie camera for 16 mm film. It was mounted in the nose of the left wing between ribs 3b and 4. The lens opening was covered with a clear glass, which could be exchanged for a colored filter as desired. The maximum film length was 15 meters. The film was actuated by an electric motor. The duration of the takes was limited by a switching disc (?) to 3.75 meters. This allowed four takes of 43-57 seconds to be made during a flight. The take was started automatically by pulling the gun trigger. A secondary option to start a take without firing was made possible by a button on the throttle.
