Me 163B 'White 42' / FE495

Fantasticly clear photo of 'White 42' fitted with the tail from 'White 54'. The strange camouflage with a lightly mottled spine and a heavily mottled (almost solid) front fuselage side is even more apparent than in the other photo. The lower part of the rear fuselage is also very darkly mottled. The lower wing cross is aligned with the trailing edge (roughly), just as the other photo shows the upper fuselage wing cross to be. The hangar behind, and especially its windows, closely resembles what can be seen in the photos showing the disassembly process of the 'Freeman Field Komet'.
