Me 163 pilots
'Appendix 1: Personel - EK16, JG400 and EJG2' in Me 163 Volume One by Ransom and Cammann shows what appears to be the full list of military personel involved with the Komet. Instead of repeating that list some limited information is presented here.
I don't know for sure that the listing in 'Appendix 1: Personel - EK16, JG400 and EJG2' is complete. Some other pilot names have been reported:
- Baron Henning von Kruger. George W. Rappelyea reported that von Kruger was given the choice of being a Komet pilot or go to the Russian front. He died in the late 1950's from cancer thought to have developed from the Komets fuels and other chemicals.
- Walther Wobst, Oberfeldwebel, test pilot at Rechlin. Rainer Zausch owned six of his flight logs, listing eight flights at Brandis with the Me 163B's V4 and V8 in July/August 1944.
